‘Heels’ comes from the mind of NoMBe, a promising German-born, LA-based singer-songwriter. The track is a dreamy, soulful piece of indie-pop, with bright, laid-back percussion supporting washes of hazy guitar harmony. A falsetto chorus full of interesting backing vocal arrangements is the focal point of the track, showing his ability to craft a catchy melody line. On the inspiration behind the release, he explains, “At its core ‘Heels’ is about guilt.  It’s about accepting the painful consequences for your actions. Understanding that you have caused someone you care for pain and therefore deserve for them to “walk all over you”. In a unique twist of events, the track is actually a recomposition of a track originally penned by Alicia Keys’ visual director Art Johnson.
